Dhu Al-Hajja Welcome/Marhaba

Asalam Waliykum,

"The One of Pilgrimage" or the Month of Pilgrimage is now upon us. Last night the last month in the Hijri Calender Arrived to bless us once more.

The Month is so special and important to us Muslims, that Allah Swears an Oath by it, when He says in the Quran "By the Dawn; by the ten nights" (Surah Al-Fajr 89:1-2) Swearing an oath by something indicates its importance and great benefit.

For those who are not able to go to perform hajj and Allah has not called you yet, then there are many things we can do to increase the rewards we obtain on these special days. So What kinds of acts of worship should we perform?

While any good deed, for the sake of Allah will be rewarded, there are some specifics that we are told are better to do in these last 10 nights. These are mentioned in the Traditions/Sunnah of the Prophet SAW: fasting, and verbal Dhikr/remembrance of Allah.

Fasting the 9 days of Dhu Al-Hijja Is Mustahab. Hadith narrated by Al- Bukhaari, 969:

"There are no days on which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah then these ted days- i.e ten days of Dhu Al-Hijja". They Said: "O Messenger of Allah, not even Jihad for the sake of Allah?" He SAW said: "Not even Jihad for the sake of Allah, unless a man goes out himself with his wealth and does not come back with anything (i.e, he expands all his wealth and is martyred)"

The Prophet (peace be upon him) explained how, “There are no days that are greater before Allah or in which good deeds are more beloved to Him, than these ten days, so recite a great deal of tahleel, takbeer and tahmeed during them.” [Hadith Ahmad, 7/224].

We are encouraged to remember Allah verbally, the Prophet SAW encouraged the Muslims to recite a lot of Tasbeeh (Not using the beads but with the hands) such as Subhana Allah, Alhamdulillaah, Allahu Akbar". Men out aloud and women quietly.

Any good deed is encouraged in this time, so increase your acts of kindness, remembrance and worship in these 10 days. Alhamdulillah for these special days, Ramadan has left us but Allah has given us these precious days to get back into that mode of worship.

To all those blessed to be called by Allah to perform the Hajj, may Allah make it easy for you, cleanse you, accepting repentance of your sins and accept all the Dua you make and your intentions. In Sha Allah Allah guide us to the straight path and give us protection and may we all hold tight to the rope of Allah.

Jazaka Allah khier for reading. Please do share these glad tidings with your family and friends, and Allah accept the intention and khier of this post.

Wasalam -x-
